The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookThis is an extremely well written book with lovely language The author has a good grasp on descriptions that create pictures in my mind I loved to see Australia through they eyes of an Aussie although I struggled with the concept of it being warmer in the North and summer being in December The characters were mostly believable and well rounded with the exception of the main character I found her strangely lacking in emotion which was especially jarring since she was the narrator of the story Overall it's a soothing read with incredibly lovely language if a little slow at times

The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookI’m glad this wasn’t the first Dorothy Johnston book I have read I started with The White Tower which I much prefer I must say that DJ’s writing is a cut above in its surprising elouence and tight description of people places and things Having read Through a Camels Eye and The Swan Island Connection I can understand why this story didn’t uite hit the mark Several reasons Too much use of the metaphor Powerful tools but can be overdone I didn’t ‘like’ most of the characters and balked at the physical relationship between Sandra and Ivan So much tech talk just brings out the speed reader in me Finally I had to plod on to the finish because I wanted to know ‘who done it’ but it was all a bit of an anti

The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookThe premise of the book about computer viruses cyber crime and relationship issues of the central characters was promising Unfortunately it didn't really deliver on the promise While parts of the book were beautifully written and at times lyrical other parts were somewhat tedious jumbled or rushed The story flowed and it was mostly easy to read however parts of it were so clunky or awkward that it reuired rereading or just be skimmed over Most of the characters weren't particularly engaging or well developed I wanted to like this book but there were too many aspects that just didn't work for me so I couldn't rate it as anything other than ok

The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookUh yeah really didn't like this book She didn't really stick to detail and attention with characters because near the end of the book the characters began acting very much out of character I was confused half the time with all the computer talk and political talk mix that in with a poor investigator that keeps messing up and the death of my uncle I could just not focus on this book That's why it took me so long to read itI'm not going to talk a lot about this book 'cause yeah I don't have a lot to say about it I barely remember half of what I read even though I just finished the book like an hour ago But what bugged me the most about this book was that it was made out to seem like such an awesome story what with the protagonist being a single mother Wow being able to balance a job a kid an affair while investigating a seemy corporate underbelly this I've got to see No The kid was way too accomodating for all of Sandra's ventures he's not even going to

The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookWhile the author is a skillful writer with a strong command of language who is adept at creating rich imagery being able to visualize the setting and maintain a strong sense of place do not compensate for poor character development or disappointing technological detail I never achieved any emotional involvement or empathy for the protagonist who I saw as trashy impulsive and immoral I have no interest whatsoever in reading anything further about Sand

The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookThe Trojan Dog is primarily a literary novel on the subject of cyber crime rather than a crime novel The prose is lyrical and peppered with beautiful descriptions such as ‘swirls of fog sat on the hard ground like a congregation of bad tempered ghosts’However if you want a fast paced thriller this won’t be the book for you All the elements of the genre are there a host of suspects love interest and a disbelieving detective I didn’t mind the slower pace but I felt there was far too much political backstory especially involving the protagonist’s mother Some of this was to establish Sandra’s reasons for believing in Rae but this could have been accomplished with far less political history The second half of the book was faster paced and lost none of the expressive prose and description

The Trojan Dog PDF/EPUB » The Trojan PDF/EPUB or ↠ PDF/EPUB bvlive.co.uk trojan epub, The Trojan pdf, The Trojan Dog eBookThe main character in The Trojan Dog Sandy isn't a super hero didn't really know much about cyber crimes but was totally human She had flaws for sure she wasn't the best mother and her marriage was in shambles She wasn't confident with her job skills but was obviously good at it Her boss Rae Evans was facing trial for computer theft and fraud Sandra and Ivan co worker turned lover wanted to get to the bottom of what happened so they became detectives The book was a little slow at first but it held my interest It is not a fast paced thriller or even a love story It's about a computer crime with a few red herrings thrown in
